HK or alpine!?

My speakers say hardmon kardmon, but I noticed the other day my amp says alpine! What's that about ?! Should it not say HK? Or am I looking at something else entirely?

Do you mean the amp at the rear of the car? It would be weird if it says Alpine. Can you get a picture of the label? However, the headunit is made by Alpine.

The HK amp is on the passenger side. The Alpine unit must be an aftermarket addition, perhaps a subwoofer amp. Find the model number and look it up.

all my audio "should" be stock. ive never done anything to the car, and the head unit is still stock, and the alpine one def looks stock, its held in with crazy factory brackets, nobody could have "made" those. think the system has 2 amps? that seems strange. did the change stuff on the 05-06 models?

Post some pics. Is there an HK amp on the other side?

Are you the original owner? Nothing in the audio system changed for 05-06 models. I'm convinced it's aftermarket. Find the model number to check exactly what it is.

That sounds right.

Look at this: http://motoringfile.com/howto/sirius...er_install.pdf (see the second set of diagrams for installation with HK).

Just a heads up - if you ever remove it -- the yellow bolt and nut that holds it on closest to the front of the car, is a ground if it is not grounded the car will not run. believe it or not
