So I've just ordered my 2013 Roadster and I also just received an iPhone 5. I was excited about MINI Connected until I read a few things about the new phone not being compatible with the interface of MINI Connected. I have yet to read ANYTHING from an actual owner of both a iPhone 5 and MINI Connected to know if truly doesn't work or if it does! Anyone out there with first hand knowledge? Thanks!

I just picked up my 2013 cooper yesterday...unfortunately i have an iphone 5 as well. I bought the adapter...definitely does not work as I had hoped. However I dont have anything to compare it too. Hopefully I can set up my son's 4 S to see what Im missing

 

With the update it works just fine...

Don't assume that MINI is shipping with the update . Mine is a December 2012 build and still needed it.

 

The question is the definition of "fine." Is both iPod out and iPod Video out working as they do with pre-iPhone 5's?

 

Never had an iPod or iPhone 4S, but with the update my iPhone 5 works as I would have expected
