Where to place amp in Boost sys?

Great, now that I have the back interior all apart, I find that the talked about lower c-pillar space to mount an amp doesn't exist in a boost system.

I just now noticed that all the shots showing an amp in this location have a lower rear cover that isn't indented like mine.

Any suggestions for mounting an amp? I've got the DSC so under the seat won't fit either, or so I've read. I don't see any place to mount it except out in the open such as on the cover of the tire changing tools in the rear.

Use the same space on the pass side. Unless you've got a 2010 or newer JCW, your pass side should have the non-indented trim panel. Otherwise, your only behind-panel option is under-seat, using an amp that will fit.

Thank you for the quick reply. I'd like to take the chance to thank you personally for helping out with an install other than your system. You are very generous. Thank you.

Strangely, I have an '09 JCW, and the same indentation is on the passenger side as well. Cool.

Looks like under the seat is next up. Do you happen to know the dimensions I have to work with? Is removing the seat going to cause me trouble with the electronics that are attached to the seat? That's pretty much a blackhole to me as I've not seen any posts detailing seat removal. There may be, though. I'm terrible at coming up with good search words.

Sorry, that should have said 2010 or OLDER JCW - so that is correct that your JCW would have the indents on both sides.

Take a look at our installation instructions for Soundstage - Under Seat Installation for more detail on how to remove the seat. I can't help you on the measurements - they vary depending on the amps footprint, but you definitely need to be in the range of the ARC amp we use to get it to work.

Got it. Will do on the Soundstage instructions. Thanks again.
