Navigation & Audio USB Y Splitter question

USB Y Splitter question
Do the aftermarket USB/aux Y splitters work or did BMW make theres the only one that works? $70 is ridiculous and I see tons of them for around $20 all over EBay and other internet sites.

Any AUX Y splitter (i.e. headphone jack splitter) will be fine. Just don't play both devices at the same time, or you will get some garbage sound. Unsure what you mean by a USB Y splitter. Is this just for power?

bought this on amazon. works the same as the oem on my 09 MINI Cooper S
