Help updating 05 Navi? Can't find anything!!

All the information I can find about updating the navi is old... I took my car to the BMW dealer (we don't have a MINI dealer in Boise ) and they told me that it's different than what BMW uses so they can't do anything. I thought it was the same system, but different interface? I guess I'm wrong? I'm pretty sure the map hasn't been updated since the car was purchased, BUT, the other day when I put in a destination, I got directions in a British accent (she said "motorway"). Car is new to me, and I've only used the navi twice (because the map is so old) but the first time I used it I remember the directions in an American accent...

Anyway, if anyone can tell me how I can install the most recent map I would appreciate it so much!

You can purchase new DVD maps at: http://store.minigpsmaps.com/. You would swap out the DVD currently loaded in your Nav unit, under the passenger's seat (or driver's seat for a convertible).

In my '06 with Nav, I can go into the menu Language setting and select between US English, UK English, and Spanish. Others have said that their Nav only has US English along with French and Spanish.

This is correct information. The US settings are US English, French and Spanish. However, there are ways to hack it by editing the DVD or changing it using software. Mine is US English, German and UK English.
