Navigation & Audio AUX IN Connection at the Radio?
AUX IN Connection at the Radio?
I have a 2007 MCS with Hi-Fi radio and just the factory 3.5mm Aux-In, not the USB connection.
Does anyone know how the Aux-In is connected to the radio? Any photos of that? I'm fairly certain it's not another 3.5mm (that would be too easy).
I know I can dig into the dash to find out, but I'm still in the planning stages of a new audio project.
TIA
Cheers,
Tom

It connects to the back of the HU with a proprietary 3-wire connector housing made for BMW by Tyco Electronics. I definitely have pictures, I'll have to dig later to find. If you look through the WDS you can probably find it as well.
If you are looking to cut/solder somthing new on there, it would be possible.
