No Power to Nav unit.

I just bought my daughter a 05 Mini with a Nav unit. The screen is blank and the unit under the seat has no power. I checked fuses F10 and looks good. Any ideas.

Short of pulling the unit under the seat and checking for power I don't have anything. Just remember to pull the battery BEFORE you pull the seat as you will trip the airbag light.

Also check fuse F22. How did you determine that the unit under the seat has no power?

Since tha nav unit dates way back in desgin and interface, i would think long and hard before spending too much $$ on it....
It does suck having a dead item in the middle....but perhaps a custom audio shop could install an aftermarket system there...most likly cost less than doing too much to the stock unit.

The power light on the unit is not lite up, and when i press the eject button nothing happens. My question also, would the screen be blank if the computer is off?

Could be anything... If it is a bad unit, it may cost around $1700 dollars to replace. I would go with the suggestion above and buy a portable unit.

FYI, my 9-5 is fixing OEM radios and Nav systems. PM me with questions, etc.
