Stop BlueTooth from automatically taking over a call?

My wife's iPhone 4S is paired to her new CM4.

She was in the house on a call, and when I started up the car it took her call over. Is there a way to prevent this from automatically happening?

I am searching, not finding good any answers!

Thanks!

Do you have comfort access? My friend just got a new CM4 with comfort access and it at times takes up to 30 minutes for her head unit to power off. When using the comfort access instead of the key you don't get the "key removal" trigger that starts the resiudal power cycle.

This actually has caused my friend to stop using her Comfort Access to start the car and it has resolved the issue.

I hope that helps.

Nope - we have the standard key, pop it out when done.

Thanks for the input!

(love the CR/B - our 05' is that and we still love her!)

I'm no phone or Mini Bluetooth expert, but I turn off my phone Bluetooth when not in the car. It's normally a simple menu button.

If she is using a Bluetooth ear piece in the house and when the car starts it takes over, then that won't help. Maybe there's a Bluetooth priority function?

I use a Motorola, not an Apple...

On other mobile phones. you are asked if you would like to automatically connect to the paired Bluetooth devices in range. If you say NO, the car will connect only if you confirm the connection on the iphone (the password remains stored, it is just the confirmation you need to accept). The iphone must have such an option as well...

My iPhone ALWAYS asks if I want to turn it over to the car if the call started outside the car.

Thanks for the tips everyone! Started looking at it more from the iPhone side, figured out the area where you select where the call goes.

Thanks!
