So I upgraded my door speakers to a set of POLKs and yes, I get better sound. However, there just isn't enough juice driving them and and full volume they start to pop and crackle, let alone with the top down, can't hear a thing on BT cell. Does anyone make a 2 channel plug/play amp system for these cars yet? Haven't taken the head unit out, so I don't know what options are in the back...suggestions?

 

You will RARELY find a plug and play amp. Blaupunkt tried it and it failed. Miserably. Not because it wasn't good, but because the wiring already in a car isn't sufficiently sized to allow anythin that makes any real power to be installed without running new cables.

 

There is an OEM Alpine up grade kit for the R56 and R55 so it may work on the R57 as well.

Dealer pricing is high on these parts so going with one of the aftermarket OEM parts places is a good idea for these items.
