Not sure about the Cooper and Cooper S for the US market but I know that the 6 CD changer is available for those models in Europe - does anyone know where the 6 CD changer is installed? I asked my dealer but he had no idea....the trunk is small enough as it is and placing luggage on top of the changer is NOT an option. Therefore I have stalled on ordering the changer but have time as my Cooper doesn't go into production until June.

Anyone out there know the answer to this?

It's prob. an in-dash CD changer. Works very well and saves precious space.
Size wise it's the same size as the regular cd player just that you instead of puting just one cd in you put 6 through the same slot. It then takes them and puts them in the order that you want inside the unit.

Hi I saw a 6 disc CD changer installed in a cooper. It's in the trunk on the right hand side, as I recall it took up about 6-8 inches.

That's right. All of the Coopers here in Pittsburgh have 6 CD changers installed in the trunk, on the right hand side. The changer is installed vertically, so it doesn't take up much space.

Chad - I've ordered mine in France ready for my return to Europe. The US price seems ridicously high as the French spec price is 390.00 Euros which should equate to the $350.00 mark...these US dealers really don't have any souls....

the only one that I have seen with a changer is located in the back on the side, don't recall if it was the left or right, but it does take up room for the luggage
