iPhone options

Hello,

The week before my car's 5th anniversary, the oem iPod adapter seems to have died, or is in the process of dying. Sometimes the iPod does not work at all, other times it only plays in order, no shuffle or changing of playlists possible. I checked the iPod at home, and it seems fine.

Here is where it gets interesting. I just got my new iPhone 4s, and would like to be able to listen to SIRI over the stereo system, possibly even find a way to use some form of hands free calling through the stereo. Is there a better adapter that I can replace my oem unit with, or would I need to replace the entire head unit to do this? Also, is there a way to keep the iPod (I have a lot of music on it) attached and still use some form of adapter for the functions of the iPhone previously listed?

Thanks!

I have the Dice mediabridge, and it does what you are looking for. Hold down the phone button on the steering wheel and Siri plays through the speakers and takes your commands through the mic you install in the car for handsfree calling. It's a great device.
