BMW/MINI iPod Y Cable

Does anyone have this?

I have the boost audio system in my 2009 MC.
Will this cable allow me to play / pause my iPOD through the stereo?
See song titiles on the face of the stereo?

Ebay has them for a good price, Amazon.com has them for the same. I will buy one if it does either of these 2 things.

Curent setup is a MONSTER Cable iPOD adapter. It plugs into the cigarette lighter, and the bottom of the ipod. Into the plug that goes into the dock port of the ipod I plug the 3.5mm cable. This is a good setup, as it pauses songs when the car is turned off.
Just wish it did a few more things.

I just bought one on eBay for about $15 and it works great, identical to the stock one which was recently stolen along with my trusty old 30 gb iPod.

I think if you search for "BMW iPod" you'll have no trouble finding one.

Does your car have bluetooth and the USB port next to the aux in? If so yes it works great.

I bought my cable at a straight up BMW dealership, and it works just fine.

By "works fine" do you mean it shows what song is playing on the stock radio? Can you pause / play from the stock MINI boost radio?

Yes I have bluetooth and the USB / Aux input below my radio.

What is the difference in this and the more expensive BMW iPod adapter?

I too purchased one off ebay for 15. It should arrive tomrrow.

Searching here is a good thing to do. You will find that there are at least 4 different part numbers for those the "Y-Cable" you need to make sure you have the latest version or it may not work with a newer iPod.

The More Expensive iPod Adapter is a device that uses the Auxiliary CD input on the radio. I does not do as good a job as the USB port will and is mainly used for people that do not have the USB input to be able to use an iPod in the car.
