Location Size Depth
Front 1 6.5 3.5
Front Tweeters 1 2
Rear 1 6X9 3.5

those are the sizes in a factory mini, speaker choices, they are way to many to say and to many company's out there to help you try to choose one, it all depends on your budget, and also are you going to keep you're factory radio, a lot of the clarity issue can be cleared up by ditching the factory radio, and going after market... hope the helps you out a bit...

thanks for the sizes. but just to clarify, is the 1 you wrote after Front and Rear suppose to be a size? and is the tweeters size 1 and depth 2?

i am trying to get an aftermarket deck, my price range would be around 800 to 1000 for everything

np problem bro, but the 1 for the front and rear size was supposed to be a /, sorry for the confusion, and the tweeter size is 1 and 2inch deep... and for the price ranged, that is a wonderful ranged to get everything you want...

with that money it's really simple if i break it down, and if you need help getting some of these unit's cheap... the average ranged a wonderful headunit is without an dvd screen or navigations, fall's around the 250 area, these unit's will have aux inputs, to usb compatible inputs, and usually has a ipod adapter...

for example... http://cgi.ebay.com/PIONEER-DEH-P830...#ht_2831wt_988

as for the speakers, for the front's look for something in the components area, there are way to many way's to look into it, but 400 should get you front components, and rear 3 way speakers, from there look into a amp, that will fall you back around another 3 bills, and the lil 50 you have left over, goes to the wiring kit, and dash kit, and the lil stuff that need's to complete the install, and at... you'll have a pretty banging system

if you need any further help, just hit me up, and i can help you get parts, and installs...

thanks for all the help. so my friend has a 4 channel amp that he can sell to me for a good price, would the 4 channel amp work?
what speakers would you recommend for the price? do you have any suggestions for a brand or specific speaker?

what do you think about these speakers for the rear?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ALPINE-SPS-609-6...ht_2201wt_1140
would the depth 3in. fit? since the oem is 3.5

and i found these for the front
http://cgi.ebay.com/ALPINE-SPS-600-6...ht_2022wt_1140
the depth for these speakers are 2 1/4.

these are the tweeters i found.
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-2-Pro-Horn-T...ht_3043wt_1140
im not sure if these are the right ones or the right size.

let me know what you think about these speakers and if they will fit perfectly without any customizations. thanks for the help will.

dear james,

your buddy that has the 4 channel, amp... what brand is it, cause you can have great speakers, and great headunit, but go cheap on the amp, can cause to lack the quality of sound. plus you need to see how much the amp can output and see if it can power the speakers you have... when you do such a thing, don't look at the peak power of the amp, but look for the RMS, that's the true power of what the amp is producing, and also look at the specs what the speakers can handle, as for the speakers that you have choose the rear one is a great speakers, i love alpine units, but for the fronts, why don't you check out these...

http://cgi.ebay.com/PAIR-ALPINE-SPS-...item45f2257aeb

http://cgi.ebay.com/ALPINE-SPX17REF-...item5adf7a39aa

these will have a more of a impact, cause the tweeters are relocated off the speakers, and the 2nd link it has a component block, that filter's out the mid's and highs to send the right sounds to the tweeter and speaker...

hope this helps =D

will

i would say don't go cheap on rca cables, and go decent on speaker wire, if you are willing to pay for some labor, i can install the system in for you, other then the little tricks i know, and how i'll do the install, those are my little tricks and trades i can't let the secret out... hope you understand ...

you can get them at bestbuy, and place like that, but i have a wholesale account with the distributor of those stuff, i can get them for you, or even sometimes ebay has them for cheap, labor wise to put your kind of system in, i usually install if for about 200 ish, cause it would take me about 4-5 hours on the install... so let me know what you think

for the rca cables, how long should they be? and do i get the 4 channel cable? which one would you recommend, the 8, 10, or 12 gauge for the speaker wires? how much would it cost if i got all of the wiring from you including the stuff that i need for my aftermarket deck, since you have a wholesale account and is the wholesale store an actual place or is it online. for the labor would you be able to do it for a little cheaper, like around 150 ish cause im kind of tight on money right now. are you going to be doing the work at your house or do you have a shop?

wiring wise i believe should cost about 60 bucks or so for 4 rca cables, speaker wires, amp wires, radio harness, radio kit, and for the labor wise i can help you out i can do it for 150, and no less... this set up i'll be doing it at my house.
