Navigation & Audio AUX not recognized

AUX not recognized

i just installed an AUX cable into the back of my stock radio (05 MCS). when i it MODE on the radio, AUX never shows up. i've tested the ipod and aux cable and they work. i've reseated the harness into the back of the radio 5 times already...any ideas?

and the HU has a Dec04 build date...i really think it's either a bad radio or bad cable

This maybe worth a shot... try connecting the audio device first before switching on the radio/car.

power to the radio comes from the harness, so it's impossible to turn on the radio before plugging in the AUX cable.
