If you have the phone unlocked when you plug it in you can control it from the phone. Locked on the phones is the same as the hold switch on the iPods.

You're right. I thought I had tried that, but I just did and it worked. Thanks!

Just bought the mediabridge from EAS. I didn't get the sirius receiver because it appears they're less expensive on ebay. One question - are there different sirius sc-c1 receivers? Do I need to buy a certain one that is compatible with the mediabridge? Seem to be different ones available on ebay. Thanks.

As far as I know there's only one SC-C1 model. Amazon had it for about the same as I could find it on eBay for the last time I bought one. Just be sure to update to the latest firmware and the MediaBridge is great.

No it's for iBus cars only. Mk1 mini only. You need a system that works on MOST such as Mobridge for mk2 mini.

dice mediabridge Mini Cooper 09

Thanks for the information. I took my Dice Mediabridge out of my BMW thinking I would be able to use it. Now after tearing my Mini apart I did not find the standard 6 pin and 3 pin connectors. So I was wondering. Now I have heard about a unit called a parrot. But in my searching I think I found out some valuable information. I saw other posts saying if your phone controls don't work but you have cruise and your radio controls work it is just a program that has to run by dealership. I have cruise and it works and the phone controls are suppose be contained in the cruise module I heard. I contact my Mini dealer and he is going to find out for me tomorrow. I have 3 minis and I just purchased the first mini for myself. My wife and daughter both have R53 2010 models. I purchased a R56 2009 for myself. They all look the same on the steering wheel. So I hope it is just a programming needed. I was told it takes 2 hours and it costs 200. I hope my mini dealer can confirm for me. I had a lot of bad luck with my dealer so they may do it for free. I asked them to help me out. Worst case is I sell the dice and buy a parrot.

Hey JWA. I know it's an old post, but I just bought a 2006 MCS and had a quick question about the bluetooth feature on this device. When you get in the car and turn the ignition, does it automatically connect to your phone via bluetooth or do you need to manually connect it every time you get in?

Thanks.

It can connect automatically if you make the change in the phone's Bluetooth menu to CONNECT AUTOMATICALLY and USE FOR HANDSFREE CALLING or similar.

Yep, mine connects automatically. Not a bad device, but the sounds quality for the mic is horrible.
