Itouch keeps turning off

I have a 2010 MCCS with the Harman Kardon system

I have a 1st Gen Itouch

The Itouch will just disconnect from playing. It shows "Not Connected"

I have jiggled all of the contacts on the cable and it will not disconnect this way.

Although it will play for a while then all of a sudden show "Not Connected"

Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, the MINI Y cable provided by the dealer was not meant to be used with a iTouch, iPhone or 4th gen Nano. It's a voltage issue. I bought this item on for 16.80 on Ebay called the Scoche Passport, and now I don't have any issues. By the way I have a 3rd gen iTouch

I have a 1st Gen Itouch. Looks like these are for 2nd Gen up.

I don't think it has anything to do with charging. It plays fine and then will turn off the music and go to the home screen on the Itouch.

on the MINI stereo display it shows, "Not Connected"

Will this part work for me??

I have an 09 1st gen itouch and I get that blasted Not Connected Error from time to time. The worst is that is says it and before it goes back to the tuner, I can hit the audio button and turn the itouch back on. All without touching any wires.

This happened very frequently when I was running a USB cable into the arm rest. I think its possible that I used a USB cable that was too long or to thin on the wiring. When I stopped using the USB extension this happens much less frequently.

If that adapter does fix this problem on a gen 1 itouch I would buy it in two shakes of a lambs tail.
