no volume display or volume H/K Amp?

Hi just bought a 2003 Mini Cooper S with front end damage. All repairs have been performed and the car is ready to go. Only one problem, no volume or display of a volume on my head unit. I do have power to the amp and all three fuses are intact. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean by no volume? No sound from the speakers?

The MINI headunit does not display volume level.

No volume

Hi, no sound from any of the speakers at all. No popping, nothing. And there is no volume display on the head unit.

I can change the bass and treble, balance front to rear also. My sat radio display doesn't come up either when scrolling through the mode option. Not sure if they are connected or not?

You will not see volume level displayed. The headunit simply doesn't have that feature. I'm not familiar with operation of the sat radio. Is yours the MINI OEM unit?

H/K amp failure does happen occasionally (reported many times in the forums), and it might be your problem. There are far fewer reports of problems in the headunit.

I meant whether your sat radio (Sirius?) is OEM. It should be behind one of the side panels in the rear. However, I'm really not familiar with it and can't offer much help.

The H/K amp is a tough situation. A new amp from MINI would be very expensive. You can search eBay, the forum marketplace, and salvage/recyclers. Look at this: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...vage-yard.html
