Looking for any suggestions that any of you might have and any "heads-up" things I need to know or be worried about. Like do I need to run new wire to speakers, etc.

04 MCS w/ HK

Pulling out HU, HK amp and HK speakers.

I want a new HU and Speakers. No amp, no sub. I don't need super high-end sound, just something that sounds good, decent volume that I can hear with windows down and roof open.

Needs
Steering wheel controls
Ipod connect and control (prefer control through steering wheel)
Decent AM reception

Wants
HD Radio
Sat. Ready

 

First read the post at the top of this forum section. 2 go to bmw and ask for some clips for the interior panels. 2 kinds there you'll probably need more of the non moving parts one. (sorry don't know technical names.) Other then it's pretty straight forward if you follow that one topic at the top of this section. Speaker wires that are there will be fine if your not adding any More power to it. Grab a small portable non fire soddering gun and use it to sodder your connections.
