Nuvi 360 Installation Figured Out/Questions

I finally got the Nuvi 360 with the OEM bracket installed in my '09 S... The instructions that come with it are worthless, so let me know if you need help.

My question is this... Does anyone have this set up installed with the OEM bracket? When I take the key out of the ignition and get out of the car, the Nuvi is still on... If I turn the power off on the unit, it says charging? Anyone have this issue? I would have assumed it would power off when the key was out, and power on when the key is in...

Any help on this is much appreciated... Also, any other suggestions from the experts on tips/tricks with this setup?

Did you do the electrical wiring yourself? It sounds like it is tapped into a fuse that stays on after the key is removed. Some of those stay on for a little while then turn off, others I guess will stay on indefinitely. We'll need some more info on your wiring to help.

I did the wiring myself, but it was based off the instructions that came with it... Use the X9002 connector, and used slots 18 and 17.... I think maybe it's just a fuse that is hot for some time period after the key is removed... Like the speedo lights come on when you open the door, so does the garmin... I guess its fine.

Anyone else know a better way?

fwiw, I have my Nuvi tapped into Fuse 32. Mainly out of convenience as I already had an add-a-fuse there for my auto sport button mod, so I just spliced into that. So my Nuvi comes on and turns off when I start and turn off the car.
