Holy radio noise Bat Man!!!

Okay so where do I being, I have a 2007 S with the standard system (6). I wanted to upgrade the speakers as the ones it came with well….suck. So I took it to a local shop to do just that, I had them install component up front and a new 6x9 in the back. I have to say I went middle of the road with speakers from Alpine. So a few days later I went to pick my MINI up and they showed my all their handy work. To me it looked great, so I went on my marry way
. I as I am leaving the parking lot and look out the passenger window I notice that the window looks odd. I turned around and headed back to the shop. Well it turns out that the install guy scratched the tint. NO one told me that the window was scratched and it was the wrong shade
.
So I spoke to the owner about this and he apologized profusely. Well being the nice guy that I am I just had them replace the tint. The shop owner said to make up for it he would dynamat the front doors. I thought cool, well I dropped the car off on a Saturday and went off. I get a call from the shop about 3hours later and say he has some bad news….they broke the window
. So I had to go down to the shop and take a look. Yup broken, again the shop through free stuff at me and I was happy
. They installed an amp in the rear right space by tail light. Hurray. Ah you think happy ending but atlas no, about a week later the radio buzzed and made scratching noises. Holy bat man it was bad, then as quick as it came it went. It did that for about 6months, so I thought I could live with it. But no I could not, I compained to the owner and he said it was the amp so he replaced it. And now it was even worse. Well I guess I’m a sucker or a sadist because he is now going to make an enclosure for a sub in the trunk as well as making the fronts a 3 way system. FOR FREE

So here is the question he now states that he can not guarantee that the MINI will not make a small wine with the new sound system. He says to cure this it needs to have the JL cleansweep installed at cost of course. Has any one else had a problem with after market speakers and a “wine” or “scratching “ noise if so how did you fix and is my shop full of….pooo. Also where is the best place for the new amp to be place so that it will not be an excuse for noise.

You may think this shop is scary but every time I go in he is working on a new BMW or Porsche. And he gets 5 stars on yelp.
Please help.

while the cleansweep would be something that would affect your vehicle's sound in a positive way...its is NOT designed to eliminate engine noise.
Find a new shop before they hurt your mini worse.....these guys are clowns!!!

Whine noise is usually caused by bad grounds or difference itn gournd potentials for the different components.
When i first installed my Alpine amp i had a low level buzz that changed with engine RPM but was still even there when the engine was off.
Thru deductive resoning and testing i found that one of the RCA cables from the head unit to the amp was bad. Some of the ground shielding was torn in the wire casing.
Problem solved. Unfortunately there are many ohter things that can cause this. I.E. contamination, rust, paint, between body panels, differences in ground wire length wire shielding and ohter stuff can cause whine or noise.
I would take it to anohter shop and have them inspect it and see what they can tell you before having them do any work.
