I have a 2003 MCS with HK system. Starting getting lots of distortion about 6 months ago. Sounded like speakers but all works great with CD's - AM/FM (especially FM) is weak so appears to be just poor reception. Took off stubby and cleaned roof contact/checked for solid connection to roof and went back to orig antenna but no improvement. Disassembled interior and checked out signal diverter and connections look fine. Planning on moving on to the head unit to see if antenna wire is loose but that seems unlikely to me so thought I would check with others before doing that. Any thoughts/suggestions?
