mini cooper D usb problem

Hello, im from Belgium. I buy last month a mini cooper D. R56. this car is sold with the start/stop function. When i put a usb stick inside the car, and i stop and restart the motor, the usb is stopped and radio come back. So, each time, i should restart the usb in order to listen music. May i ask you if this is a problem, and how it can be fixed?. My delaer says that is normal, they can't do nothing. Im not convince about that. May i ask you opinion as well? thank you

Doesn't sound right, but the start/stop function isn't sold in my market, so what do I know?

We don't have Doopers or start/stop here, but I tried an experiment on my Clubman.

1. Start engine
2. Play song from USB memory stick.
3. Stop engine - no change in audio
4. Re-start engine - sound briefly interrupted, but continues with same song and the same position within the song.

I don't know what is going on with your car.
