Flat pin or round pin on hard wired interface

I'll be amazed if anyone knows....but I am buying a Pioneer head unit for my 04 MCS. ( and self install) I would like to be able to use the steering wheel controls. The broken aftermarket unit in the dash now does not.

Anyway, I found a site http://www.carsound.dk/log/temp/RFA/...er1_150808.pdf

and it list 2 different Pioneer interfaces for MCS's in the 8/01 to 6/04 period - one for flat pins and one for round pins. Perhaps I can tell with a flashlight, but thought I'd take a chance here. Anyone muddle through this one?

Thanks
