XM/SIRIUS "Cinemagc" or "Strobe"?

Hi All,

Yesterday, XM/Sirius brought back "The Strobe" (aka "Chrome") on channel 81/83. Please, no flaming, but I love disco and am thoroughly enjoying the return of this channel.

Anyway, my Nav-equipped '09 MCS still shows the channel by it's old name of "Cinemagic" and in its prior "Pop/Classical" category. Is this the case for others with Sirius? Does anyone know of a way to manually refresh the channel listing in the car, or do you think it's a problem on the broadcasting end of things - Sirius' end?

Problem is on the Sirius side. They need to send out a content update. There is no way to do it locally in the NAV as far as I am aware, but you may be able to initiate it via the Sirius website.

Hmm... I also have an XM radio (the Inno) and it updated just fine, so I guess this is only for the Sirius hardware. Oh well, at least the audio is updated.

If you highlight the channel then press down on the joystick does it give you the options for "Details"? Try un-checking and then re-check it to see if it updates the name.

Hi All,

It's me again (the original poster). My Nav/Sirius still calls this station "Cinemgc" instead of "Strobe". Does anyone else have this combo of hardware (R56, Nav, Sirius)? If so, please do me a huge favor and tune to channel 81 (I think) and see what your channel name is.

Thanks in advance!
