HI All.

I'm curious if anyone else has had the experience with the DVD Nav system of it being really loud and noisy? What I mean is that when I set up a destination and start route guidance I can here the system reading the DVD player constantly and its quite loud. Oddly it doesn't do this if I'm just viewing the map with no route.

Nope, never noticed any noise from the DVD drive when setting a destination.

 

Sounds like it may be having trouble reading the DVD. Pull it out and make sure it's not scratched. Mine is pretty quiet. I do here it but it's not what I would consider noisy.

 

Mine is very loud, but it's because i'm using a backup of my DVD and i use a budget dvd-r and burned at a high rate. my oem DVD doesn't make very much noise.
