Griffin TuneFlex

http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/tuneflexaux

For 50 bucks this might be the way I go, at least for now. The reviews I could find seem pretty flattering. However the only NAM review was for the 1st gen. I have heard that Mini's cigarette lighter are a little delicate so I have my concerns about putting a half pound of pressure on it all the time.

Thanks for your time

In hindsight that was a statement and not a question. Does anyone who has used this have an opinion on it?

Thanks

Using the Griffin Auto Pilot

I've been using the Auto Pilot for about 6 months. If you're not concerned about seeing whats playing, it's a good option. The controls are within easy reach from the shifter.

I have a Griffin TuneFlex. It broke the cigarette lighter socket when I removed the TuneFlex one time. Also, the flexible arm is not strong enough to hold up a 60 Gig iPod. So, I had to put velcro on the side of the dash stack to keep the iPod in place. Otherwise, it worked OK.

I've abandoned it and now use a platform I made for a cup holder and mounted an Apple Universal Dock, and a Griffin PowerJolt V2 Car Charger.

+1 on the Auto Pilot. Works great and the iPod can be put in the glovebox.

Does the dock work itself loose? I have a Belkin Auto Kit and it works great except for any jiggle (including road) and it loses juice and in turn shuts off my ipod.

I've also used the Autopilot, the iPod stayed in the glovebox.
