Powering plug and play SIRIUS receiver?
I'm sort of debating how to install a plug-n-play type Sirius receiver in a clean, factory-esq way. I think I want to put it in the empty space under the center stack, and I already have an aux-input under there I can plug into. I'm drawing a blank on how to power it though... The kits usually come with a cigarette-lighter plug, but there's no way one of those big honkin' things poking out between the cup-holders will look acceptable.
Is there another way to hook it up stealthily? Can I cut off the plug thingy and splice into a 12v source + ground? Anybody done anything clever for power?

The 'plug thingy' converts the +12VDC to +5VDC, so you can't eliminate that.
I mounted the bracket in the location that you are considering and it hides the plug fairly well. Check my Gallery for 2 photos.
