Changing BT ringtone type and volume?

Is there any way to change the sound level of the ringtone when a call comes in? And maybe the ringtone itself?

Thanks

I don't know about changing the ringtone on the BT system, but I think the volume of the ring (and the call) is determined by the volume of the radio when the call comes in. So just turn down the Donna Summer a bit.

They ringing volume is actually separate from the radio volume, you just have to adjust the volume during the ring.

That's right, and you can also adjust it while the man is talking to you when you're voice or number dialing. I don't think you can pick a ringtone for the car.

Does anyone find the default voice prompt volume extremely loud? I always find myself apologizing to people in the car, but I can't figure out why it's so over the top loud. Suggestions?

Got it, but I was hoping I could turn down the default (once and have it set). The current default is so jarring.

What is the default voice? When you hear it and it's too loud, turn the volume down. The car will remember that setting next time. At least it does on mine. Works with the nav volume, phone volume, voice control of settings, etc. All can have different volumes on mine.

There is no default volume. But with my crummy ears when i set the voice volume the ring volume is pretty loud. At least I hear it!

Ahhh, I didn't realize that the system "remembers" that you dial it down. Thanks!

Is there any way to change the default voice?

Don't think so. It would be cool to change it to a British voice like I can on my Blackberry (by selecting English UK as the language instead of English USA). I get this cool British chick talking at me when I voice dial!

None so far- with previous versions of the Nav, people just took copies of other English speaking country's voice data and burned them to a disk with their disk's map data. With the R56 and up, all English speaking countries get the same voices, so this method doesn't work anymore.
