For those who have done aftermarket audio installs on the R56>>

I can build race engines, tune anything, but when it comes to stereo etc I am a bit of a novice ...so seeking some advice... I have installed an XM unit and works great (head sits in cubby, uses the OEM antenna and plugs in thru the aux input in center console)... issue is powering up the XM. I would like to have the XM power up just the same as the OEM stereo (I have the HK version) meaning I could push in on/off button and have stereo and XM come on (the '30 minute' on without having the fob in place) or power up when you push fob in and not push start button... right now the XM only powers up when you push start button.

So.. could I tape power source from inside fuse box at
F11 10A 30G X11003 7 0.75 RT/BL Satellite Radio Tuner and Digital Radio Tuner
or
2 10A 30G X11006 3 0.75 RT/GE CD Changer
or

??

This is where power tap is now>>

Thanks for any guidance
Michael

Look over the sticky in the modifacations/electrical board. I used an Add-A-Fuse and used the DSC fuse (can't remember the number). Mine requires the FOB to be on, so DSC isn't the one you want.

A sticky is a post that stays at the top of the thread list. Reserved for info or announcements that will always be in demand.
