iPod volume

Searched like heck and could not find anything.

Recently got an ipod nano (ipod newbie) and a liquidaux.
Plugged into the aux port, ipod at max volume, only get a muted sound through the speakers.

Any ideas?

I don't have it in front of me, but check your owner's manual on how to do this. Somewhere in the audio menu there is a separate setting for AUX volume. It is more of an amplifier setting, so you'll only have to do this once. It will bring up a 5bar setting scale. Play with it to find the correct setting. After that, you can use the regular volume control for fine adjustments.

Not sure what liquidaux is, so I cannot comment there. My Griffin Autopilot has a hi-low output setting that also makes a difference in volume output. FYI, I don't use the iPOD volume control at all.

Go to Radioshack buy a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable for about $3 and connect your ipod to the Aux in. Or borrow one from a friend. Is the sound OK now?

OPC, I did not know this. I was typing my unhelpful response before I saw yours posted - my bad. Do you know if the separate Aux volume applies to a gen1 h/k radio also? Thanks...
