I am also looking for a replacement HK amp, did you have any luck?
I would like to replace my HK amp (I just found out it from service tech that the amp has failed).
I have a 2004 MINI Cooper S with the Harman Kardon system.
The head unit is fine, and I would be willing to replace my faulty amp with a used amp purchased from someone here on NAM.

I have not been able to find any used ones for sale and the MINI has been without a stereo for over one month now. I am not going to spend over $800 for a replacement one that will fail again , but have had no time to put an entire new stereo in (not to mention the NAV wont work). I should have never gotten the H&K upgrade.

sometimes rear speakers play ok. suddenly music goes out leaving a loud hissing noise . any advice . going crazy with this, i am only listening to the front speaker H/K SYSTEM

 

I just saw this thread- I am about to take my factory amp out of my 05 cooper S- it works fine- make me an offer or look on eBay in a week for it- I will be selling there if noone responds here- it works great no problems- wasn't going to but I'm going after market now.

 

I am interested in buying an H/K amp too, including one that has gone bad.

I have an HK amp that I can sell--took it out of my 05 cooper S. In fact, I have the entire HK system (sans the harness) if interested. All pieces work perfectly.

you lot get good money for H/K systems. I just picked up a boost cassette & cd changer and h/k amp off ebay in the uk for £31.20 + £20 p&p.

also picked up a cassette stereo cd changer and full H/K speaker set including amp for £150 collected.

going to put one of the amps in and keep one spare in case it fails again. cant believe my luck as i know the stereos and changer will both go for a minimum of £50 each.

2 amps for £100, what a touch!!

 

Anybody still have an amp for sale? I just checked Ebay and didn't find anything. I've been having horrible hissing and popping coming from my front speakers for years. The dealer told me one of my speakers needed to be replaced, but they're full of crap (not just about this). Had it looked at yesterday, and it sounds like it's almost certainly the amp.

I have an '04 with a good amp that I may sell. I am replacing the head unit and the amp conflicts with it anyway.

well i have an h/k amp don't rally want it anymore its still in my car for the right price i might be incline to take it out

 

I have a H/ K amp & head unit for sale. I had my amp replaced in May of 2009, the dealer deduced that it was defective. I will sell the head unit as well. I am selling them because I am replacing my sound system for an aftermarket product. Cheers. 2003 R53.
