Finally going to replace them and wonder what was the maximum mounting depth.

I think the CDT 6x9s should fit. Before its all torn apart wanted to be sure.

Also is everyone keeping the same speaker wiring or running different wire?

I changed out the fronts. Huge difference. Now I need to finish it with an amp and eq.

 

What did you change them out with? Also did you have the stock or HK system?

 

I changed mine out with MB quart's last week. I didn't measure, but there's quite a bit of depth.

 

I went the custom route and got some Peerless 6.5s from Madisound along with some Seas tweeters. Really sweet and a lot less than the more expensive route of the main car speaker makers. The 6.5s are incredibly natural sounding.
