Can Dealer Install SIRIUS?
I thought I had read here somewhere that it was possible for the dealer to install Sirius radio. I asked the dealer about this and he said it can only be done on the convertibles, they haven't figured out how to do it on the hard top. Is this true? Has anyone here had their dealer install Sirius after the fact on their Cooper hard top? Mines an 08 BTW.
Thanks
Jim
Thanks

"Are you willing to pay what the dealer will charge?"
And the answer is ....... yes probably. It was a $1000.00 option with lifetime service from the factory. At my age, lifetime deals are of marginal advantage
. So the question is ..... can it be done for something less than $1000.00 if at all ?
Cheers

Yes, it can be done in the R56. I purchased my Sirius with my local MINI club discount for ~$540 and the dealer installed it for 2 hours labor. Total cost was approx $760 + tax. This included the software update that took most of the day. Keep in mind that you only get a 1 year subscription (plus free activation), not a lifetime.
