glassing. that wood piece that i posted pics of is trimmed down to size of the stock panel. iitll be mounted to that, fleece over it all, ad glass. never made panels, hoping this comes out as i want, dont want to have to buy new door panels and start over.. lol

all in all, speakers, subs, tweets, there will be 38 total

2 mids and 2 tweets will be glassed on the boot door

the doors will be black vinyl like the back of the wall. covering the whole dash with black vinyl too, with suede accents.

the steering wheel is gonna be the worst thing as far as getting covered goes...doing black vinyl, and the airbag cover will be suede.

seats are going all black suede.

carpet is going black

everything else is prettty much covered, except the console, etc, which will be suede or vinyl, i might make a new console.



basically, everything in the car will be black.

This build is crazy...any thought on reinforcing the windows/windshield? Will the windows be safe even rolled down into the doors with all those mids? There are going to be some unhappy bypassers and get used to the sound of car alarms

that's a lot of speakers. you might need to start working out to be able to open your doors with all that weight

the wood isnt much weight, nor is fiberglass, the mids are around 3 lbs each, and the tweets are around 2lbs each.

 

i really like how this is coming out, especially since this is the first attempt at making panels. we will see how it comes out when i glass it!



the lower circle, in the blue pen, is around where the stock door handle would pop out.

the blue permanent marker circle is where it WILL be.



pretty damn straight and lined up, some of the tweets are off by like a 16th or less of an inch, but to the eye it all looks centered. i cant complain, becuase the top and bottom of the door panel arent perfectly perpendicular.

ill still drive the Mini most of the time, i just want something else to drive when i feel like driving people or just driving a normal practical car with no wall, etc.
