Volume of a call using the Parrot EVO
I have been using a Parrot 3000 Evolution and the integration kit from newministuff.com. I am having a tough time with the volume level of the call while I am driving. I would like to increase the volume, but it seems to top out. When I use the radio the volume is loud enough. When I get on the phone the volume goes down.
I am usually driving on the highway, so there is a lot of roadnoise in the background. I would really like to listen to my calls loudly since my hearing might not be the best. I have another car that has integrated bluetooth from the manufacturer and the volume of the call can be ajusted as loud as the radio.
Does anyone else have this issue? I was hoping there was a "line level out" on the parrot that would increase the volume to the stereo. I have played with the menus on the parrot and increased the volume in there. It hasn't helped.
Thanks.

I have that setup in my car. I have had no difficulty in hearing the callers just by using the volume controls on the wheel during a call. My friend even managed to run the parrot microphone into the overhead area where the factory microphone is located. The only issue I have is that my iPod (Mini install) kit seems not to work. I am going to disassemble the dash on Saturday to make sure it just didn't get disconnected. Overall I am very happy with the Parrot Evo and especially with the newministuff wiring harness. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Check the volume level on the phone. I have to turn mine all the way up (along with the volume **** on the Parrot controller). With both maxed out, seems to be just fine at that point.

I have this same set-up and I have the DSPM unit in my car. Before I installed the DSPM, yes I too had call volume issues. The phone (Blackberry Pearl) needed to have the volume turned all the way up and the volume on the stereo was elevated as well. Since the DSPM install, no issues at all on volume. In fact if anything it can be too loud resulting the in caller hearing themselves.
This leads me to believe the solution lies in the amplifier for the port the bluetooth kit uses. With minimal amplification, the sound can be too soft. Try setting your AUX in volume to 3 or 4 and see if that helps. This control is accessed pressing and holding the "note" button on the radio for 3+ seconds. You get to a sub menu, then press (cycle) the button until AUX VOL is displayed. Rotate the volume **** to increase or decrease this level.
Hope this helps!
