Navigation & Audio Bluetooth compatibility list
My Sony Ericsson w580i works great with the BT in my 2008 MC. My complete address book uploaded with 350 entries and 500-600 numbers. All the user interface functions on the MC computer and MFSW have worked flawlessly so far. I do not have the cradle option, just BT.
Great thread. I just wanted to give a few heads up, as I work for Verizon, on a few phones that work with the MINI. The LG-VX9400 works. As far as the LG-VX-8550 and VX-8700 are concerned, to get around the possible connection problems, they need to be updated to the latest software. (This can be done at any verizon store.) I hope this clears a few things up, and i'll let you know what else has been proven to work as I come across it. Cheers.
Many thanks siryoung
, nice to hear that about the latest software updates and hoping it's true for the LGVX5300, though it's supposed to work, at least somewhat, according to this very helpful thread.
I'll work on trying to get those to sync with a coworkers mini and get back to you guys. I'll also be trying the treo 700p and 755p . Updates soon.
There's not one specifically listed that I've found. Your best chance is probably to see if it's the same charger-type as one of the other Nokia snap-ins (non-Nokia snap-in's snipped):
Also, a list of armrest snap-in part numbers from http://www.bimmernav.com/snapins.html:

LG LX165
The LG LX165, sold by Virgin Mobile as the "FLARE" basic functionality, placing and receiving calls, works (08 MCSa with Convenience Bluetooth).
Still figuring out some things, such as taking the phone out of my pocket and putting it where the car can "see" it when I start out...

Anyone with address book transfer problems with a Nokia phone may be interested in this thread over on Mini2. It looks like the contacts download software that is linked to provides an address book service on the phone that's compatible with the MINIs expected address book format. People in the thread report that it works with the car for the N95 and the 6120, but may make other syncs (such as iCal) stop working.

Also - it categorizes numbers.. unlike my Razr. So instead of just seeing the same name, it shows Work, Home, Mobile, etc..
Check it out!
I have a blackberry curve with At&T. It pairs up nicely but only syncs up some of the contacts in my address book.
Has anyone had any problems like this? I am thinking that it has something to do with some special characters in the contacts that it doesn't like. Maybe the email address? I'll try to do some more trial and error experiments and post later.
Also, does the contact information stay in the computer even when I turn off the engine. I'm just concerned about leaving phone numbers out for anyone to see.

With my Razr, when it's not connected to the car, there are no numbers or names in the car's phone book.

Now I can see all 280+ contacts!
I just got my mini and not too familiar with the car yet, i have the convenience package and tried to link up my K550i with the bluetooth and could not connect but my phone reckognized my mini but still couldn't connect, am i doing something wrong?
If you're still having problems, start up a new thread looking for help (the plan is to keep this thread as a report of known working or not working). Feel free to PM me with a link.
Anyone try a Palm Treo 680. I think only AT&T sells them. Sounds like the Palm Treos don't work but I haven't seen this one listed so I thought I'd ask. It syncs well with other Bluetooth devices including my Garmin Zumo.
It doesn't seem like it would hurt to try once or twice, the risks with the 700p's come in after a significant number of syncs based on the reports I've seen. Of course, we don't really know what the exact problem is, and it doesn't sound like we'll get to find out.
