Navigation & Audio Bluetooth compatibility list
Well, I haven't found anything, I checked over on Mini2 for the European equivalent (KE850) and didn't see any.
Your best bet would probably be to stop by a Verizon store and confirm that it works in person before picking it up.

Thanks Nicknbecka! Will be heading to the Vz store this weekend to try out the Dare & the Curve. I did find out that 6934552 is referencing the 1st Gen BMW ULF. Wonder why Verizon limits their testing to the oldest version. Seems odd.
Also spotted a report on the Blackberry forums that someone had successfully paired their Curve 8330 with their MINI. So that's good news.

Anyone try the LG Dare from Verizon yet? Looks way too cool to pass up! Was all set to go with the Curve but since the Dare came out last week have been seriously temped to get it instead..
According to Verizon's bluetooth capability list it works with ULF 6934552. Does anyone know what gen that is? Shatzy? Nicknbecka?

Don't count on the Verizon data sheets. They have the enV2 and the Voyager both listed as working with the ULF 6934552 but only with the coorect firmware version of VX10KV03. Both the enV2 and the Voyager are 3 or more revisions of software up from the VX10KV03 and neither of them now work with the ULF 6934552 or any of the newer ULF modules.
LG runs their own proprietary versions of bluetooth software that in many cases does not meet the bluetooth standard and does not work with many items such as headsets, car kits etc.
I would check the version of the firmware on the phone before doing any testing to make Sure you know what it is. It if does work for you please let us know so that this thread can be updated.
The Curve will require a separate data package at $30.00 a month if you do not already have the data package. That is the reason i do not have one. I am not paying that much for something that i will only use maybe once a month.
Hopefully they will let you try the phones before you do any financial transactions. None of the stores (3) around me would do that. they forced me to do a purchase and then try it and then take it back and do another purchase and then take it back. My credit card company called me after the second transactions to say they thought there was fraud activity on my card and were shutting it off. It took me ten minutes to explain to them what was happening.
Yes I am aware of the impact that a change in firmware can have as well as the reliability of information from Verizon or MINI for that matter.
The monthly cost of using a Blackberry isn't really a concern as its offset abit by my company discount.
I do have someone I can work with at my local Vz store and with any luck will be able test out the phone before committing to it. He said he would help me out and I'm counting on it.
Am still undecided at this point... though if the Dare does work I will probably get it and not upgrade the firmware... ever. lol

Clubman Bluetooth and LG VX8350 work?
I am picking up my new Clubman S in Las Vegas soon and will drive it through California to get back home in Portland. Will my Verizon VG VX8350 work with the bluetooth or do I need to bring a bluetooth earpiece to get through California with it's new law.
Nicknbecka's spreadsheet... Check Your Bluetooth Phone's R56 Compatibility
It looks like you will have at least partial use. Most of us are in the same boat. Phone connects and you can receive and make calls but functionality is limited.... no phone book transfer and no voice dialing without programing the MINI BT module.
Congrats on your new Clubbie!

Thanks! Somehow I missed everything that happened yesterday... Also, I'd never considered watching the BlackBerry forums for MINI reports.
Just one more place to keep track of!

Update.... Phone book does dl. just takes forever for it to complete the dl
Iphone is listed as compatible, but will the new 3g Iphone work w/my incoming MC? I read that the new iphone will run w/2.0 firmware. But, the Mini "compatible" list says 1.0, 1.1. I was excited about going at 6 am 7/11 and waiting in line for the new phone, but NOT if it'll be more of a hassle w/the bluetooth than my ancient

Dunno the reality... just what I heard in that instance. Would be pretty twisted if the older phone can mate w/the car, ala what WHEE ONE just said, and the new one won't...
this site is amazing
I still think I better wait a day, well maybe a half day with the speed that y'all post. I need some superhero to confirm that they got the new 3g iphone and it worked w/their 08 Bluetooth. I will also check my iphone geek forum, though they're not as quick to the draw as this forum.

I agree with minim8o- chances are new (3G and 2.0 firmware) versions of the phone will work as well as the current model and firmware. If I remember correctly, there's been regressions in a newly released firmware once before with the iPhone, but it was corrected within a couple days.
Findings:
With Bluetooth:
- It loaded the address book (the entire thing; not just limited to favorites)
- Could dial from the address book or the phone itself; in-car features worked fine.
With the Dock Connector:
- I connected to the dock connector (where I use my iPod), and the iPhone gave me a nasty warning about not being compatible with that connection. I ignored it, and the iPhone turned into an iPod only. My music was displayed on the Nav like my iPod's are (which was cool), but the iPhone screen blanked out (like the iPod does) with some "I've been taken over by another device" icon. ie, no iPhone screen control. I'm not sure if it would take calls or function like a phone at that point (I didn't test it).
Next Steps:
I need a way to charge the phone in the Mini. The iPod dock connector isn't an option since it shuts down the iPhone screen. Options are a simple power plug, and the BMW armrest cradle. I'm about to post to see if anyone knows if the BMW cradle will work on the 3G.
Note: I have the NAV / Convenience Packages, so that gives me the USB/AUX dock cable connection, NAV menu navigation, Bluetooth in the ArmRest, etc.. YMMV
