I believe I read somewhere that the nav interfaces with the ipod? Is that true? Can you play DVDS onto it? I'm getting a MCS next month, but I am still undecided on whether the NAV is worth it.

BOTH the stock headunit and the NAV will interface with an IPOD with the MINI supplied IPOD interface and required programming update. The NAV will allow you to play the MP3s on a DVD but at the expense of the navigation ability. You obviously have to take the maps DVD out in order to do this. There is no DVD video capability in the NAV although I've heard there is a television interface available across the pond.

I'm surprised Birdman hasn't replied yet. With more screen space, easier to browse song titles and such. Also, interfaces nicely with the OBC and PDC. There's a pic on here somewhere with the cool graphic interface of the PDC, parking distance control. Makes the car look smarter IMHO, though not worth it for my budget. I just got a portable GPS that is more user friendly than the OEM NAV. Check my sig for my install.
