i use the isee case, as you can see iSee.

this will fit perfectly in the cupholder w/ the whole ipod protruding, also, i run my cable (just long enough to plug into the ipod) thru the leftside of the glove box (does not interfere w/ closing) and just behind the bar thingy. i dont have much use for the remote (clutter), for i only really use the skip button. drive it like you stole it!!! the ipod aint going anywhere.
