i went to a car audio shop this past weekend and i was looking to upgrade the factory stereo system. the guy at the shop recommended audison amplifier and hertz 3 way speakers. has anyone heard of these speakers and amplifier? are they any good? i heard them at the shop and it sounded good but not sure if they are better then focals or zapco amps.

i always used to think mb quart and focal was the best of the best.

theyre good, but IMO its like JL, people get it just because the brand

 

old MBQuart is excellent, the new stuff, notsomuch. It used to be Boston Pro and Quart Comp/Q were the top level for mainstream stuff. Dynaudio had a loyal following...we did an IASCA car with Dynaudio 7" and 30mm tweeter with a 13in Dynaudio sub on an aperiodic membrane firing through the ski passthrough ('95 BMW 540)...absolutely blew me away and I realized Quart wasn't up to snuff.

yeah i have been doing some research and they are fairly good. the audison amp is very clean in power and the hertz speakers is crisp clear and has good mid bass. i will let you guys know what i decide. i am doing a complete stereo upgrade so i will keep you posted.

 

I have focals and they are awesome. added 450w alpine amp to drive them. 6.5in components in front and 6x9 2-ways in back.
