Aux cable for iPod in 08 MCS
I searched around the forum, but couldn't quite find the info I needed. I ordered a MCS 08, but without the ipod adapter. I've been told that all I need is a cable to run between the ipod and aux input underneath the center stack. Could someone who has tried this please give me a link to the product I need to buy. What is the difference between this and the usb connection that costs $500?
thanks!
thanks!
You can simply connect your iPod's headphone jack to the aux input with a standard stereo cable. For higher quality sound, don't use the headphone jack but connect to the iPod's dock with a cable like this: http://www.macmall.com/macmall/shop/...%20Accessories
The $500 option gives you bluetooth for your phone, and a USB connector. The USB allows you to play MP3 songs stored on a USB memory stick. If you connect an iPod to the USB, and it allows you to control the iPod through your headunit and steering wheel buttons. The USB also displays song titles on the headunit or Nav.
