Need Help with My R56 Car Audio

I just replace my factor R56 speakers with Memphis Car Audio-Power Reference. I have the basic sound package. After is Check my +-'s. I start to play some music. As I am play a CD I start to turn up the sound and it starts to buzz and crackle. The sound sucks. The sound at low normal listing levels is fine but when I try to turn up the sound it isn’t meeting it potential. I don’t know if replacing my amp would help but I am frustrated so please help. Thanks you

If you have the basic non hi-fi system, your car doesn't have an amp. The crackling is probably due to the speakers not getting enough power to properly drive them. The hi-fi system has speakers on the A-pillars and the amp is located on the passenger side of the trunk. I could be possible you have a lose connection or something grounding out causing the bad sound, but if that was the case it would be terrible at low volume as well.

I have standard sound as well. I replaced my speakers and actually had a hard time figuringout + an - on the fac wiring. I hooked it up how it sounded best and havent a problem. It sounds As if you have a wire grounded out on occasion. Did you insulate all your wires and also are the connectors tightly placed on the speaker posts? I do not have any problem pushing my 4 ohm speakers w/ 92 sensitivity and no amp. If I remember correctly, the higher the sensitivity the more effiecent the speaker is at converting power to sound....meaning more sound with less watts
