There is a company in the US called PAC that supplies and easy adapter to maintain your stock wheel controls. About $100.00 USD

I don't mean to stray from the original question, but what is the center control button on the left side supposed to do. I thought it was to switch frequencies on the radio, but mine does nothing. Anybody have one that functions? Thanks

The Pac SWIX is a great device, can be programmed for most stereos (except high end Sony) And you can make the 6th button do whatever you want. It does however require a wire to be chopped under the steering column.
The are now plug and play adaptors for Sony, Clarion, Alpine,Panasonic & Pioneer. Kenwood very soon.

First question – I had the PAX installed with my aftermarket audio system and works GREAT with the MFSW. Well worth the investment.

Second question – Nothing. The middle button on the left of the MFSW does nothing.
