Blown tweeters?

Hey all.

I have a 2005 MCS with the HK system. Love the Mini but the HK system is just kinda meh for me. However that isnt the issue. I think i may have damaged one or both of my tweeters. Here are the symptons:

-On parts of music with really high notes (think power metal guitar solo's) i get some pretty bad crackling from my tweeters. I am pretty sure this isnt the door panels rattleing either as i still get it even with the Bass turned way down.

-When i first got the car i really didnt notice any issues with the sound system, in fact i thought i sounded great. It was only after i started to push the system that i noticed this (lots of of bass and lots of volume).

So i guess i have two questions.

-Are my tweeters blown out?
-Will they be covered under warranty?

Thanks guys.

Figures.

My car is currently being serviced for a busted motor mount, so maybe when i go in to pick it up the can have a look at it. If they are blown i will have them replaced then i will probably just throw a sub in the back and stick a high pass filter on the front.
