Navigation Chrome Ring Trim

I found the chrome trim ring at www.minimania.com. That's British site and the cost for the ring is $100. Does anyone know if there's a place in the states who sells this part?

You posted in the R56 forum. In an R56, I don't think there is any difference for the trim ring between Nav and non-Nav? MINI has OEM chrome trim rings for both 1st and 2nd gen, and this part should cost much less than $100. Check with Classic MINI or your dealer's parts department.

I know this is a stupid question, but I'm very new to the mini. What's a R56? I just bought a 2005 MC.

For 2007 the MINI was redesigned. Very few parts are compatible with previous years. R56 is the model number for the new 2007 model. The previous model was R53.

The forums here on NAM have a 1st Generation section for R53 and earlier BMW MINIs, and a 2nd Generation for the R56 and later.

FPM, the Navigation chrome trim ring is part # 51457132401, which you can order from your dealer.
It is listed as item #3 on this page: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...79&hg=51&fg=95
As you can see on that page, other chrome rings are available if you wanted to convert your interior trim.

The Nav chrome trim ring is around $25 MSRP. You can get it with a discount from Classic MINI.
