AM Reception 2004 Cooper S

I have read some posts on this subject of poor reception on my radio (I also have "early navigation"). Stopped at Concord Mini yesterday and the service writer acted totally surprised about radio reception being poor. Is there a fix to this problem? Would the Sat radio package from the dealer help reception? FM is "OK" but AM is the pits. Any suggestions.

I'd suggest you check the connections to your antenna. (Both at the back of the HU and everywhere else...)

The diversity antenna system on my 2004 MCS has some of the best AM recsption I've ever had in a vehicle.
