thanks for the offer, edge. sadly, i will be in not so sunny Seattle working this week, and have a wedding to attend on the weekend, so i won't be there.

i tried the V30 link that daflake posted, and it downloaded fine, but when i tried to burn it to CD, my GPS system kept saying that an improper CD was being used, and it wouldn't load the new version. i managed to find and burn a V28.1 with British voice that worked in my car. so i am a little more UTD. now i just need to find a newer Navteq disk that isn't $200; i see a number of 2007-2 versions on Ebay, so it looks like the "i have to buy the latest gadget, whatever the price: crowd is starting to get the 2008's and selling their old ones.

Even if you aren't coming to MOTD, I see you live in Washington DC... well, I live in Northern VA, so I can help you out here in the area as well.

Ebay ones are pirated and more than likely you may get a dud. I recommend that you find a really good friend or spend the cash to buy a new one.

As for the image you got off of X5world, did you burn it at the lowest speed? I have used that very image on several MINIs and BMWs with no problems.

That's OK... contact me next week after MOTD, and I'll personally help you upgrade and tweak your Nav.
