What are the sizes of the stock speakers in an 03 Mini? I'm looking to upgrade but not sure of the sizes without taking the panels off the front and back. Any help is appreciated!

 

6.5s in the front and 6x9s in the back if memory serves me correctly. 6.5s all around in the Cabrio.

 

It is 5.25s in the front but can be adapted to fit aftermarker 6.5s. The rear speakers are 6x9s.

5.25" on the lower front doors for midrange/woofer or component speaker.
The stock speaker has a built in mounting ring. Using 6" speakers you can make your own ring to fit the door and fit the speaker. You can either use the existing door speaker grill or cut it out and do a top mount. The grill doesn't remove easily.

1 3/4" tweeter (1" tweeter will need adapter or top mount) on the upper front door. Tweeters do better when mounted as close to the ears or as superficial.

Rear seat side panel- standard 6x9 speakers. Since usually just fill in look at full range or 2 way speakers. Use stock grills.
