Sucks, no iPod OR SIRIUS

Well picking up the 07 here in a few. Dealer called to go over the logistics of the accessories. Got to the Sirius part. Cant do it with Nav. What? That sucks. We built the car and it said we couldnt get an ipod with Nav but we could do Sirius. We love Siruis. I hate adding it on. Why would they let you "build" the car with it if you cant do it?

Because the techies that designed the order form arn't as smart as the people who designed the MINIs nav system

This is for a convertible?
I believe it *CAN* be done - Nav and other signals go into same connector in back of HU, but in different pins. With the intelligence needed to remove pins from one connector lead and put them in the right pins of the other connector, you can get both to work.

(I haven't done this, but I believe it to be true)

Yep, conver. This is good news. Ill research it. I certainly am capable of changing pins. I cant confirm nor deny this but I may have bypassed the safety in my Pioneer Nav for my truck so I can change addys on the fly, it may have also been a pin issue.

For a convertible (or other 1st gen MINI), either the OEM and DICE iPod adapters will work. With DICE, you can also add Sirius. See this thread and check with the vendor EAS: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=88570
