How to get at H/K amp in Cabrio?

I'm not sure if i should post this here or in the Cabrio section but I'm trying to tap into my speaker outs on my H/K amp to connect an amplifier for a sub in my Cabrio. I looked in the normal location of the H/K amp in the Coupe and the amp isn't there. I did follow a wiring harness to the rear seat passenger side panel which I believe is where the amp is located. I just have no idea how to remove this panel or even if this is actually the amp.

Is it possible to disconnect the wires to tap them without removing this panel? It looked like it may be possible. Are these even the right wires? If not, how do I remove this panel to get at the amp?

In the cabrio, the H/K amp is under the front passenger seat.

RKW, you are a god. Now one last stupid question, how do I remove the black panel over it?

I don't have H/K myself but I've taken off the cover for the Sat/Nav (under the drivers seat) and the H/K's cover should be similar. You'll have to remove the seat. Note that if you turn on the ignition while the seat airbag is disconnected, you'll trigger the airbag warning light and it will stay on until reset by a dealer or sevice garage.

Best to disconnect the battery BEFORE you remove the seat and only reconnect it AFTER you have reinstalled the seats.

Bah, humbug. I've pulled my seats several times lately with no battery disconnection and no problems. You just need to keep your key away from the ignition until all the seat harness connections are plugged back in.

Also, because the radio gets power even with no key in the ignition, you can test your audio connections while the seats are still unconnected.
